Pie in the sky

The Weekly pizza is liberal with its toppings.

Last week was pretty good for Metro Pizza. In addition to creating a pizza especially for Las Vegas Weekly (featured in last week’s issue, and still available at all Metro locations), the local favorite discovered it was named by Zagat as one of the nation’s top pizzerias. Additionally, co-owner John Arena has been invited to China to teach his college-level course, History and Culture of Pizza.

Now, some might say all this good fortune is the result of Metro employees working their collective asses off, but we’re going to tell everyone it’s a result of Metro’s high-profile appearance in the Weekly. Just try and dispute it.
